Steps to plastic surgery for exophthalmos

 In it, we explore some of the steps involved in cosmetic surgery for protruding eyes

 

We first start with the eyelid operation:

 

• The upper eyelid:

 

• Dr. Hanatera injects the eyelid with local anesthetic
• Dr. Hanatera shaves the eyelid in line with the natural folds of the eyelid to avoid leaving scars
• It removes excess skin and sebum
• The wound is stitched using cosmetic sutures       

 

• Lower eyelid:

 This surgery is slightly more serious and more complicated:

• The patient needs general anesthesia
• Dr. Hantereh is incised in the area immediately following the lower eyebrow, and sometimes this is done on the inside to ensure that no visible scars are left.
• The main goal is to remove the excess fat in this area and tighten the skin to get rid of wrinkles around the eyes
• The wound is stitched using the appropriate type of sutures

 

 

 • Let us now move on to the second type of cosmetic surgery for the protruding eyes, which is the process of relieving the pressure of the socket:

 

• The operation is performed under general anesthesia

 

• The process takes a relatively long time, as the time period reaches about 3 and a half hours

 

• Dr. Hanatera makes the incision at the outer side of the eye or in the conjunctiva, according to the location of the extra bone (the operation is divided into three main types according to the location of the extra bone)

 

• It removes the extra bone that causes narrowing of the eye socket

 

• Sutures stitches the wound

 

•  And now with the last type of plastic surgery for the protruding eyes, eye muscle surgery:

 

• The operation is performed under general anesthesia

 

• Dr. Hanatera makes the surgical incision in the conjunctiva

 

• The muscles causing the problem are separated, then put back and fixed with stitches to a new position that helps beautify the protruding eyes

 

• The operation involves one or more muscles

 

• The threads dissolve alone after about six weeks
