Color blindness treatment
The treatment or correction of hereditary color blindness is sticky, so that part of the problems of acquired color blindness can be treated, and this depends on the cause.
For example, if the cause of color blindness is cataract, it may be removed by a surgical procedure to restore the ability to see colors again.
Dr Huntera advised:
That a person with color blindness can take the following steps to compensate for his inability to see colors:
- The use of contact lenses or special glasses to prevent dazzling.
- Glasses with special lenses, if the color blind person cannot distinguish colors at all, and relies on rod cells only for vision.
- Learn to use the vividness or location of a color, rather than the color itself. For example, he can learn to arrange the locations of the three colors of a traffic light.
